Dr. Natalie Lopasic—Ophthalmologist
Dr. Lopasic is a
board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon specializing in
neuro-ophthalmology, cataract surgery, eyelid surgery and eye
muscle surgery in adults and children. She received her
undergraduate degree from Emory University and her medical degree
from Chicago Medical School. After completing an ophthalmology
residency at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Lopasic
performed a one year fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology,
oculoplastics and pediatric ophthalmology under the direction of
Dr. Gregory Krohel and Albany Medical College. Dr. Lopasic provides
comprehensive eye exams for adults and children. She treats a
variety of eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, macular
degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Her specialty training in
neuro-ophthalmology allows her to treat more complicated eye
problems such as double vision and optic nerve diseases.
Dr. Lopasic specializes in the latest technology in cataract surgery. She also specializes in eyelid and eye muscle surgery. She treats drooping eyelids as well as other eyelid problems. She also provides corrective eye muscle surgery for eyes that turn in or out. Dr. Lopasic operates at Samaritan Hospital in Troy and Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center in Latham. Dr. Lopasic also performs in-office surgeries and laser procedures including medically necessary and cosmetic Botox® injections.

Dr. Katina Villas is a
board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in general
ophthalmology. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from
Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She then went on to
receive her medical degree and complete an ophthalmology residency
training program at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in
Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Dr. Villas then moved to the Albany area
ten years ago to start practicing ophthalmology.
As a general ophthalmologist, she sees both adults and children. She performs routine eye exams as well as managing a variety of eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, eye infection and allergies, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Villas also performs in-office surgeries and lasers as well as cosmetic Botox® injections. Dr. Villas is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Alice Bade—Optometrist
Dr. Alice Bade graduated from
Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has been practicing in the
Capital Region for 29 years. She performs routine eye exams on
adults and children. She also performs contact lens evaluations and
fittings for routine contact lenses as well as more complex toric
contact lenses and bifocal contact lenses. Her experience and
expertise put a first time contact lenses wearer at ease.
